The Power of Conspiracy

Whether it’s the ‘stab-in-the-back’ myth after World War I, the international Jewish conspiracy, or the child pornography ring that supposedly involved presidential candidate Hillary Clinton (Pizzagate), conspiracy theories have a long history. And today, with the advent of fake news and internet trolls, they are more prevalent than ever. Their impact on the public also depends on a nation’s cultural factors.
